PTA Reflections Art Contest 2026–2027 

PTA Reflections is a national arts program that encourages students to express their ideas, creativity, and talents through the arts.

Students in Pre-K through grade 12 are invited to create an original work inspired by this year’s theme:

“What My Culture Means to Me.”

Students may submit work in one or more of six categories:

• Dance Choreography
• Film Production
• Literature
• Music Composition
• Photography
• Visual Arts

Students may enter multiple categories, with one entry per category. Reflections also offers an Accessible Arts division for students with disabilities who receive services under IDEA or Section 504. Each entry must be the student’s own original work and include a title and 10–100 word artist statement explaining the artwork and how it relates to this year’s theme.

Selected Mercer Island entries will advance to Washington State PTA judging, with top state entries eligible to advance to the National PTA competition.
