Be informed!  As a member of our school district, you will receive weekly PTSA newsletters & MIHS announcements with information on MIHS events and activities. Our weekly newsletter email features an interactive President Letter linking you to crucial information on the PTSA or MIHS websites. We encourage you to read, click & stay informed! Periodically, you will also find articles from our Superintendent, Dr. Fred Rundle, our Principal, Nick Wold.

Newsletter Distribution: Parents of enrolled students are already subscribed to both MIHS/MISD communication and MIHS PTSA communication. You don’t need to do any additional steps to get information about MIHS events or activities.

• The best source of up-to-date calendar news is the Mercer Island School District Calendar.
• Academic and Counseling Center News can be found on the MIHS Counseling Center Webpage.

Emergency Notifications Via Email and Text

MISD uses Skylert for emergency updates. Skylert is part of your Qmlativ (Skyward) account and can be found in the blue sidebar menu of the family account screen.  Parents are also prompted to review email and phone numbers each August via the RSVP system.

The Mercer Island School District will close schools if it is unsafe to operate buses, if school environmental systems are not working or when staff members are unable to travel to work from on or off island. If weather forecasts are serious enough we may elect to close schools or open on a delayed schedule. For more detailed information, click here.
