IT'S TIME TO VOTE FOR THE EP&O LEVY: BALLOTS DUE FEB 10th 

Ballots for Proposition 1: Renewal of the Enrichment, Programs, and Operation Levy should arrive in your mailbox no later than Monday, January 26th.

February 25 – Career/Internship/Trade Fair 10 am to 2 pm, Mercer Island High School
Students may meet with professionals from organizations from across the state about upcoming career, internship and trade opportunities! No registration required.

April 22 – Case Study and College Fair (focused on rising seniors, but open to all students)

5:30 pm Case Study,  7 pm College Fair

Get a behind-the-scenes look at how college admission decisions are made, what students can do to stand out, and the opportunity to network with colleges and universities from around the country! Registration opening soon – stay tuned!

PTA Art Reflections Contest Winners and Awards Ceremony

Please join us on Wednesday February 25th, 5-7pm, in the IMS Commons to celebrate our IMS artists! The evening will take the form of an art exhibition, and students will receive their respective awards. All friends and family are welcome.

Thank you for your creativity, dedication, and courage in expressing your artistic voice through the Reflections program.

Reminder! Register for Mock SAT/ACT Tests February 7 th , 2026

If your student is considering college after high school and would like to take the SAT or ACT, taking a mock test can help them get ready. Not sure if you should take the SAT or ACT? Take a Mock test of each to help you decide.

Mock SAT/ ACT Test Saturday, February 7 th

8:00am – 12:00pm at MIHS

Register Here by Tuesday, February 3rd.

Both tests are being offered on the same date. Please register for the test of your choice.

Both the ACT and SAT practice tests, offered through Princeton Review, are the new, digital tests and students must bring a laptop to the test. This is a great opportunity for your student to experience these standardized exams under simulated conditions.

MIHS PTSA General Membership Meeting - MIHS Parents Invited!!

Mercer Island High School PTSA will be hosting our Winter General Membership Meeting on Friday, December 19th at 8:30am in the MIHS Commons.  This meeting will include a discussion on the upcoming levy renewal (on the ballot for the February 10th election) and will include a presentation on the details of the levy renewal as well as a vote on the attached resolution.

 A representative from Citizens for Mercer Island Public Schools will present the "pro" side. There is not currently a formal opponent to the renewal levy.  If you are an active member of our PTA unit (i.e. dues are paid) and wish to speak in opposition to the levy, please contact advocacy@mihsptsa.org before Monday, Dec 15th to request time at the meeting to present your opposition. In addition, per guidelines, you need to be an active member of our PTA unit in order for your vote to be counted.

This is your opportunity to share your voice regarding the levy renewal and have any questions answered.

With student-led storytelling, expert insights, and a legislative panel, this event amplifies our collective commitment to accelerating progress for Washington’s public schools.
