Annual Giving Campaign

MIHS PTSA's main fundraiser is called the MIHS PTSA Annual Giving Campaign.

 

FACT: During the Covid19 pandemic your contributions are so important to us as we explore new digital operations to support your students.

 

FACT: Proceeds from the Annual Giving Campaign establish the MIHS PTSA 2019-2020 operating budget.

 

This is what your MIHS PTSA Contribution supported during the school years:

  • For 2022-23: $30,000 in classroom enrichment grants - click here for grant info.
  • For 2021-22: $28,006 in classroom enrichment grants - click here for grants info.
  • For 2020-21: $18,300 in classroom enrichment grants - click here for grants info. 
  • For 2019-20: $15,600 in classroom enrichment grants – Field trips, science equipment, music artist in residence, drama workshops, cooking program, additional literature curriculum for English 9-10, art equipment, dance lessons, after school help, staff culture club, outdoor experiences.
  • For 2018-19: $21,000 in classroom enrichment grants – Field trips, science equipment, music artist in residence, drama workshops, cooking program, additional literature curriculum for English 9-10, art equipment, dance lessons, after school help, staff culture club, outdoor experiences.
  • For 2017-18: $30,000 in classroom enrichment grants – Before and After School Tutoring, New books by female authors for English Curriculum, PE equipment, Radio Station Speaker for Commons, World Language Library, Tournament of Roses Marching Band music and choreography, Drama and Art workshops
  • Parent education on important topics like coping with stress and the pressure to succeed, youth suicide prevention, talking with kids about race, and how to make youth sports a positive experience
  • College Night Lecture Series
  • Classroom supplies
  • Courtyard renovation
  • Reflections art program
  • Staff appreciation lunches and student appreciation events

To help meet our fundraising goals, we suggest a minimum contribution of $250.00 per student, which is 100% tax deductible. While the dollar amount of your contribution is a matter for your own personal judgment and discretion, those wanting and able to contribute at a higher level are encouraged to do so.

 

We are thankful for ANY amount you are willing to give! We have 2 tiers of giving which are easy to chose from but we do highly encourage a minimum of $250/student.

 

The 2 suggested Annual Giving tiers per student are:

  • $500 - Level up: your donation + lend support on behalf of another family
  • $250 - Suggested Minimum: per family for PTSA programs that support our kids
