Community News

Mid-Autumn Festival Carnival

The Mercer Island Chinese Association (MICA), in partnership with the City of Mercer Island, is excited to host the island's inaugural Mid-Autumn Festival Carnival on September 22nd, from 10 AM to 2 PM at the Mercer Island Community and Event Center. This family-friendly event will include cultural performances, games, arts and crafts, an artisan market, and a delicious food court—all free for the community to enjoy!

The carnival is a wonderful opportunity to celebrate the rich traditions of the Mid-Autumn Festival and bring together families from across the island. With a turnout of over 1,500 people at our Lunar New Year Gala, we anticipate a similar, if not larger, number of attendees for this event. Our goal is to create an inclusive and welcoming environment for all.

We are also looking for volunteers to help make this event a success. Whether it’s assisting with performances, running activity stations, or helping with setup and cleanup, we appreciate any support from the community.

For more information, please visit michinese.org.

Join us for a fun and culturally enriching celebration!
