BALLOTS DUE TUESDAY!!!

Tuesday, April 22nd, is the last day to vote YES for the MISD 2025 Bond

If you didn't get a chance to vote before Spring Break, there is still time! We need your vote.   We have two thresholds to meet- 60% YES vote to pass and at least 40% of the last election's voter turnout to certify.  Please make sure to return your ballots and remind your friends and family members to vote too.

DEADLINE: APRIL 22 AT 8PM

  1. Return your ballots at the King County Ballot Drop Box at the Mercer Island Community & Event Center or at any USPS post office.

  2. Click here to get a replacement ballot. All you need is a pen, printer, envelope and tape (no stamp required).

  3. Here’s all the information from the Voter Guide.

  4. Remember we need a 60% YES vote to pass with at least 40% of the last election to vote in this one. Check election results.

MIHS Drama presents: 

      12 Angry Jurors - written by Reginald Rose

Mercer Island High School Drama is proud to announce its upcoming production of 12 Angry Jurors, by Reginald Rose. This important play takes audiences inside the deliberation room where twelve jurors must decide the fate of a teenage boy accused of murder. As the tension mounts, the jurors confront their own biases and personal conflicts, revealing the complex dynamics that can influence a verdict. 12 Angry Jurors promises to deliver a gripping exploration of justice, prejudice, and the power of reason.

Content warning: References to violence and death. Recommended for audiences 13+. 

Join us for the show on April 24-26 and May 1-3 at 7pm, and April 26 and May 3 at 2pm in the MIHS performing arts center.

      Movie Night - Legally blonde

Get ready to kick back and laugh with us! The MIHS Drama program is thrilled to invite all students ages 12 and up to another special Movie Night featuring the hilarious and iconic Legally Blonde!

When: Friday May 30th at 7PM

Where: High School Performance Art Center.

What to Bring: Your friends, your best Elle Woods energy, and maybe a cozy blanket!

Popcorn and water will be provided, and admission is FREE! This is the perfect chance for middle and high schoolers to relax, have fun, and enjoy a classic movie about confidence, smarts, and a little pink flair.

Parents, this event is tailored for kids 12+, so feel free to drop off your teens and enjoy a night to yourselves—or stay and watch along! Let’s make it a night to remember—see you there in your best legally blonde attire (pink optional, but encouraged)!

 

 

MIHS Green Team E-Recycle event

Do you have an old phone or some dead electronics lying around? On April 23rd, MIHS Green Team is hosting an E-recycling drive where you can bring all your old electronics – phones, laptops, tablets, chargers, and other electronic devices – to be recycled safely, but please don’t bring TVs, monitors, printers, or loose batteries. It's a great way to help sustain our planet and get rid of old junk. Drop off your tech on April 23rd at the front entrance before school, 7:30 - 8:30, and after school, 3:30 - 4:30.
