Monday, 10/20: Diwali, An Indian Festival
Diwali is the "Festival of Lights," a significant holiday for Hindus, Sikhs, Jains, and some Buddhists, symbolizing the victory of light over darkness, good over evil and knowledge over ignorance. Its significance varies across regions and religions, but most traditions involve the lighting of lamps, decorating homes with colorful rangoli patterns, exchanging gifts and sweets, and spending time with family.
This year, we are celebrating Diwali by appreciating our "Gurus" (Teachers & Faculty) on Oct 20th. Please help make this event a success by contributing towards the lunch.
