MIHS Fall Treat Trolley -- Tuesday Morning!!
With all that our teachers and staff at MIHS are currently mentally and emotionally holding, we want to boost morale by putting together a coffee and treat trolley on Tuesday, October 28 (TOMORROW)! Collective PTA units, we need your help!
Please join us as we show our teachers and staff that all PTA units are here and we care about them! Either sign up to contribute and/ or sign up to be one of the treat trolley delivery drivers (no special license required)

Please VOTE : Election Day is November 4
Your ballot has 2 school board races and 2 contested city council races:
School Board Director Position 2: Julian Bradley and Brian Gaspar (In August, Mr. Gaspar announced that he was withdrawing. His name appears on the ballot, so you will still need to fill in the bubble for your preferred candidate.)
School Board Position 4: Stephanie Burnett and Robert O'Callahan
City Council Position 6: Lisa Anderl and Johana Beresky
City Council Position 7: Julie Hseih and Adam Ragheb
Uncontested city council candidates include Ted Weinberg and Daniel Becker
These candidates are making decisions that will impact the well-being of our students:
School Board Directors create policies, manage the superintendent, and advocate for our district.
City Council Members make decisions that impact our students' safety and security (like police and emergency preparedness), mental health supports (by funding school counselors), our parks and playfields, sanitation and water for our schools and homes.
Proposition 1 is on the ballot, a bond for the city to rebuild our city's Public Safety and Maintenance Facility. You can learn more by viewing These websites provide the pros and cons of the bond, as does this presentation to the school board.

The City of Mercer Island would love parent and student input on new design concepts for Clark Beach and Groveland Beach! You can fill out this survey until November 3. Here are two ways to review the concepts before you take the survey.
(1) View the Digital Concept Boards
Digital boards for each concept are also posted on Let's Talk. Each concept board includes an overall plan and a shoreline enlargement to share more detail about features proposed for the waterfront areas. Review the boards first, or refer to them as you take the survey.
Clarke Beach Park Concept Boards: 1 | 2 | 3
Groveland Beach Park Concept Boards: 1 | 2 | 3
(2) Watch the "Virtual Open House" Presentations for Each Park
City staff and the Berger team recorded presentations that share the existing conditions and walk through the design concepts for each park. Learn about the concepts through the "virtual open house," then take the accompanying survey.
