In October 2021, MIHS PTSA sponsored the first-ever Mandarin Outreach Presentation to help explain about high school life at MIHS and to meet key MIHS staff. Thanks to Deputy Superintendent Fred Rundle, Principal Walter Kelly, Counselor Rachel Auffant. MIYFS Counselors Chris Harnish and Caleb Visser, PTSA Co-President Debbie Burke, parents Sophy Yang and Rachel Yu for all your help and expertise.

• www.mihsptsa.org   This is the Parent, Teacher, Student Association that sponsors the practice or mock ACT and SAT tests. You can sign-up and pay for your child to take the tests through this website. You can also join the PTSA which pays for many of your children’s activities and enrichments.
• mihs.mercerislandschools.org  This is MIHS’ website that lists school events and announcements. Has links to Naviance, counseling team, graduation requirements, course descriptions.
• www.starttalkingnow.org  This is a great resource recommended by Mercer Island Youth and Family Services Counselors that work at MIHS. Everything is translated into Mandarin. Very helpful information about stress and mental health.
• www.miparentedge.org  This is a PTSA sponsored group that brings in educational speakers to help with parenting. They have a talk coming up on November 9th about “A Healthier Approach to College Admissions.”
