PTSA Webinar: College Application, Interviews and Visits - Tips and Tricks form MI Parent Ken Glass

Link to Video Presention

Online presentation by Ken Glass, long time Mercer Island resident and community volunteer, about the college application process and what students might want to consider in their college choices – including how to go about college visits.  Ken brings the perspective of a parent whose three children have gone through the process.  In addition, he has served as an interviewer for hundreds of applicants to his college alma mater and participated in an MISD research project involving interviews with many college admissions officers.

Ken is not a college counselor, so this webinar should not be viewed as a substitute for students engaging with their MIHS counselors.  Rather, we hope this will provide a supplementary discussion much along the lines of the daily one-on-one talks we all have with “more experienced” parents who have been through the process before.
