Important Dates for Class 2026

Senior year is a wonderfully exciting year but can sometimes feel a bit like drinking from a fire hose. There are several calendar dates to consider and some student and parent homework to take care of to make this a smooth, easy year. *Will update this page as event dates are released.

A very important source of information for Senior Parents is the MIHS Counseling Center newsletter. Make sure you read through it every month!

IMPORTANT DATES FOR 2025-2026 

• September 26: Homecoming assembly, parade and game 
• September 27: Homecoming dance
• TBD: Deadline to order Graduation Cap, Gown & Tassel.  Information coming soon from school. 
• December 19: Yearbook portraits due. Check out the Yearbook page for more info.  
• December 19: Yearbook Grad Ad submission due. Check out the Yearbook page for more info
• TBD: Winter Formal
  TBD: For Seniors: Cap and Gown pick up during both lunches. If you have not ordered yet, please visit www.jostens.com and search for Mercer Island High School.
• April 30: Senior Community Service Hours form due to be considered for Community Service Awards (not required)
• TBD: MI Community Scholarship Awards Night - 5:30pm, at MIHS PAC. This is a program administered by MI PTA Council and funded by Grad Grams.
• TBD: Senior Prom
• TBD: Baccalaureate
• TBD: 2026 Graduation Family & Friends Foto Fest. At the MIHS outdoor amphitheater (outside of the commons).
• TBD: Senior Finals and Senior Check Out Days. For all seniors to turn in their devices, books, pay fees & fines and collect graduation tickets. (Please note: All fees & fines have to be paid in order to receive graduation tickets.) 
• TBD: MIHS Crest Graduation. 10:00am- 12:30pm at Crest Learning Center.
• TBD: Senior Tea Early Morning Senior Awards Ceremony (Athletics and other School Sponsored awards. Run by ASB Leadership)
• June 5: Senior Assembly - 1:00- 3:00pm.
• June 9: Graduation, 6:30pm, McCaw Hall
• June 9: Grad Night Party- a party for the graduates only.  Immediately following graduation. Tickets must be purchased in advanced for this event.
