Important Dates for Class 2026

Senior year is a wonderfully exciting year but can sometimes feel a bit like drinking from a fire hose. There are several calendar dates to consider and some student and parent homework to take care of to make this a smooth, easy year. *Will update this page as event dates are released.

 

A very important source of information for Senior Parents is the MIHS Counseling Center newsletter. Make sure you read through it every month!

 

IMPORTANT DATES FOR 2025-2026 

  • September 26: Homecoming assembly, parade and game 
  • September 27: Homecoming dance
  • October 8: Start of order Graduation Cap, Gown & Tassel. Josten coming during Islander Hour. Dealine to order is October 17th.
  • December 19: Yearbook portraits due. Check out the Yearbook page for more info.  
  • December 19: Yearbook Grad Ad submission due. Check out the Yearbook page for more info
  • January 27: Winter Formal 
  • February 28: Deadline to order Grad Yard Sign. Click here on how to place your order.
  • May 28: MI Community Scholarship Awards Night - 5:30pm, at MIHS PAC. This is a program administered by MI PTA Council and funded by Grad Grams.
  • May 30: Baccalaureate. At Holy Trinity Lutheran Church (8501 SE 40th St., Mercer Island) at 6pm
  • June 3: Senior Tea from 7:00-8:45am in the MIHS Commons
  • June 5: 2026 Graduation Family & Friends Foto Fest. At the MIHS outdoor amphitheater (outside of the commons)
  • June 5: Senior Community Service Hours form due to be considered for Community Service Awards (not required)
  • June 2-4: Senior Finals and Senior Check Out Days. For all seniors to turn in their devices, books, pay fees & fines and collect graduation tickets. (Please note: All fees & fines have to be paid in order to receive graduation tickets.) 
  • June 5: MIHS Crest Graduation. 10:00am- 12:30pm at Crest Learning Center.
  • June 5: Senior Assembly - 1:00- 3:00pm. It's for the students; parents will get a zoom link to watch.
  • June 6: Senior Prom
  • June 9: Graduation, 6:30-8:30pm, McCaw Hall
  • June 9: Grad Night Party- a party for the graduates only.  Immediately following graduation. Tickets must be purchased in advanced for this event.
