Graduation Schedule 

Saturday, June 8, 2024

 

8:15am- Arrive at MIHS Parking

  • Please bring cap and gown on hanger, in wardrobe bag if you would like. 
  • Students should be wearing what they will be wearing for graduation.
  • Students will not see your parents before the ceremony.
  • No bags will be allowed- only cell phones.   
  • ***Parents must bring their students bag with a change of clothes for the Grad Night Party to the graduation ceremony***

 

8:30am- Buses depart for Benaroya

 

9:00am- Arrive at Benaroya

 

9:00-11:00am- Rehearsal and announcements

 

11:00-11:45am noon- Eat lunch and get ready

 

  • Lunch options are Turkey, Beef, Ham, Vegan, Vegetarian and GF sub sandwiches.
  • After lunch, freshen up. You can use any bathroom in Benaroya. Women’s and Men’s Locker rooms downstairs/backstage will have toiletry essentials.

 

11:45am- 12:15pm- Continue getting ready, pick-up lei, relax

 

  • If your parents purchased a lei for you, please pick it up. There are still some available for purchase. First come first served.

 

12:00 noon- Doors open for all guests

 

12:15pm- All students must be lined up and ready to go!

 

Approx. 12:30-2:30pm- Graduation!

 

Approx 2:30-3:30pm- Photos with family & friends in the first-floor lobby

 

  • Graduates will leave the auditorium and enter into the lobby where alpha signs will be posted on the pillars.  
  • Please go to the appropriate alpha sign according to your last name so your family and friends know where to meet you. 

If you are going to the Grad Night Party….

 

3:30- 4:00pm- when the Benaroya chimes ring- Get ready for the Grad Night Party!

  • Change into your comfortable party clothes and shoes that your parents brought with them to the ceremony. You can use any bathroom in Benaroya. Women’s and Men’s Locker rooms downstairs/backstage will have toiletry essentials.
  • Give ALL of your belongings back to your parent/guardian (except your cell phone). No backpacks, purses, wallets, keys, food or cell phone chargers allowed. No exceptions. You do not need your keys; you are not driving home.
  • You can bring your cell phone. You are responsible for the safekeeping of your phone. No chargers are allowed – we will have some chargers at each venue for you to use.
  • Graduates are subject to a pat-down search. Graduates found to be possessing illegal substances or an item that might endanger others will be picked up by their parents.
  • Check in and get your wristband for the party according to your bus color on the second floor.
  • Get snacks on the second floor

4:00pm- when the second Benaroya chimes ring, gather in the lobby by bus color and check in with your bus chaperones.

 

4:30pm- Load buses to the Grad Night Party!  Let the fun begin!
