What's New!
Ridwell Teams Up with MISD for Earth Month
For Earth Month this year, the entire MISD is collecting plastic film to keep it from our landfills by partnering with Ridwell, a pickup service helping 600+ MI families reuse and recycle things not accepted in curbside recycling bins!!
WHY? Plastic pollution has become one of the most pressing environmental issues on our planet. Ridwell’s mission is to remove as much of it as possible from the landfill AND you can help!
Did you know that plastic film CANNOT go into your recycling bin? It must be collected and recycled by a separate facility. During the week of APRIL 24th, all schools will have Ridwell collection bins out front for you to drop off your collected plastic film, at no charge, for them to take away and recycle properly! You can start collecting right now for the biggest impact!
WHAT KIND OF PLASTIC FILM SHOULD I COLLECT? Great question: Pallet wrap, stretch film, dry cleaning bags, cereal bags, grape bags, bread bags, ziplock bags, newspaper bags, case overwrap, grocery bags, produce bags, product wrap, retail bags, air pillows, bubble wrap, plastic shipping envelops, bubble mailers, electronic wrap!! Click here for more info. ALL OF THIS!! Collect it into a plastic bag and bring it to your child’s school the week off April 24th!

We are also concerned about our community’s mental health. As parents and guardians, we know that many of you share these concerns. Read more…

All this in a ‘Mock’ situation where tests are not recorded or submitted to any high school or college organization. This is a perfect chance to ‘try out’ these tests.
The two dates left are:
