PTSA News and Announcements
Information for MIHS Seniors and Senior Families
Yearbook Grad Ads Due Tomorrow, January 4, 2021
Senior grad ads are optional. They are personal pictures and reflections by you or other family members regarding graduating seniors. Ads can include a student, a team, a club, or any collection of students to celebrate graduation from MIHS. Instructions for submitting your Grad Ad request are located here. Contact mihsyearbook2021@gmail.com with questions.
Mock SAT/ACT Tests
Over the course of the school year, MIHS PTSA provides 6 testing opportunities as a chance to practice a real test, become familiar with a testing environment, and help identify which testing platform is best for each individual student. All this in a ‘Mock’ situation where tests are not recorded or submitted to any high school or college organization. This is a perfect chance to ‘try out’ these tests.
Register and/or learn more about the PTSA sponsored Mock SAT/ACT tests.
Presidents Letter
Dear MIHS Families,
Happy New Year! 2021 – WE MADE IT!! “There are far better things ahead than any we leave behind.” – C.S. Lewis. Let’s stop and take a moment to celebrate the strength of our students and appreciate the arms of our teachers, administrators, parents, caregivers and community that have wrapped around them to help support them. And then let’s look forward with hope towards a new year and new opportunities.
Remember that January brings Finals Week, which is coming up with exams scheduled to begin on Tuesday, January 19th. Leading up to finals week, please check the MIHS Homepage for any updates and the most current information.
MIHS will be hosting a table at the Mercer Island Youth and Family Services Foundation Breakfast on February 10th. We would love for you to join us and show your support for all the wonderful programs and services that MIYFS provides including our two mental health counselors at the high school. Click here to register, and select Stacy Nakata/Debbie Burke as your table captains!
Don’t forget to mark your calendars with no school days for January. There is no school on January 18th in celebration of Martin Luther King Jr. Day and no school on January 25th for MIHS grading day.
We wish you all the best as we head into 2021!
Go Islanders!
