Mock SAT/ACT Tests
MIHS PTSA provides 6 testing opportunities as a chance to practice a real test, become familiar with a testing environment, and help identify which testing platform is best for each individual student. All this in a ‘Mock’ situation where tests are not recorded or submitted to any high school or college organization. This is a perfect chance to ‘try out’ these tests.
The two dates left are:
- Mock ACT – Saturday, March 19 (Review Session – Mar. 29)
- Mock SAT – Saturday, April 23 (Review Session – May 3)

MIHS PTSA President Letter
Dear MIHS Families,
In line with the new state guidelines, masks will be optional for students and staff starting tomorrow. We acknowledge that responses to this change will vary widely: excitement, relief, uneasiness, anxiety, mixed feelings, and it is probably going to initially feel weird for everyone. Please be respectful and sensitive to individual choices staff and families make on whether or not to wear a mask. We don’t know another’s personal circumstances, and no one in our schools should feel harassed or intimidated by their decision to wear or not to wear a face covering.
We are excited to announce that a long-awaited MIHS library renovation project is finally moving forward this year!
Please join us for a special PTSA General Membership Meeting on March 29th at 7:00pm at MIHS (specific location TBA).
Principal Kelly and the District will present library renovation plans to our community. Thanks to generous donations, we have PTSA money available. MIHS PTSA members will vote on an expenditure of funds to support our school with a PTSA grant to help build and furnish a really fabulous new place for our kids. We are thrilled!
We invite you all to “sit” with us at our Virtual Table for the Mercer Island Schools Foundation Spring for Schools Showcase & Auction on Sunday, April 24th at 7:00pm! The event is virtual again this year, so you can enjoy it from the comfort of your own home. Cliff Sharples and Hilary Benson will be the Showcase hosts for an evening of entertainment, education, and inspiration. MISF has partnered with Kitchen & Market, so you can get your meal kit delivered to your door on Friday, April 22nd, if you’d like to enjoy their meal AND support our schools during the Showcase. Kitchen & Market will give back a percentage to the Mercer Island School Foundation for every meal ordered. The event is FREE, and there will be a silent auction again this year. You can register HERE and choose Maria Alberto/Debbie Burke as your table captains. Once you register, you will receive more info on the event and Auction. We would love it if you could join us!
Do you follow the Mercer Island School District Facebook Page? We highly recommend! Ian Henry, MISD Communications Coordinator, does an amazing job of bragging about our students! Recent posts include big wins and accomplishments in wrestling, swim/dive, DECA, and journalism!
