We need your help with Graduation Related Activities!

Currently we are looking for student and parent volunteers to help with graduation activities! Check out all the opportunities and sign up today!

STUDENT VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES:

Baccalaureate

When: Thursday, May 30
Time: Approx. 5pm- Event starts at 6pm
Location: Holy Trinity Lutheran Church (8501 SE 40th St., Mercer Island)
# of Volunteers Needed: 13 students from the class of 2024
Description:
- Door greeters (4)
- Singing or playing an instrument (total 2 -3 music pieces)
- Master of Ceremony (2)
- 4-5 students to talk for 2-5 minutes about how your faith has guided you during your life. We would love to include students from all the different faith backgrounds.

Pre-Graduation Family & Friends Foto Fest

When: Wednesday, June 5
Time: 5- 7pm
Location: At the MIHS outdoor amphitheater (outside of the commons).
# of Volunteers: 4 Junior Students
Description: Using people’s phones, take pictures of the seniors and their families.

PARENT VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES:

Graduation Lei Distribution

When: Saturday, June 8
Time: In the Morning- exact time will depend on rehearsal schedule which has not been set up. But expect it to take about 1-2 hours.
Location: Benaroya Hall- 200 University Street, Seattle
# of Volunteers: 2-3 non senior parents
Description: to help distribute the graduation leis during graduation rehearsal at Benaroya Hall.

Grad Night Party – Bus Check-in Volunteer

Date: Saturday, June 8th
Time 2:00pm- 5:00pm
Location: Benaroya Hall- 200 University Street, Seattle
# of volunteers needed: 13 non-senior parents
Description: Checking-in graduates for their bus, and giving them wrist bands

NOTE: Volunteers will be contacted to participate in a Zoom training session prior to the event.

Grad Night Party Chaperones

When: Saturday June 8
Time: 4:30pm- 2:30am
Location: Depart from Benaroya Hall, Return to MIHS
# of Volunteers Needed: 6 parents
Description: Parents will accompany students and be on the buses. Chaperones will stay with the group to help check in at different stops. Also to make sure if there is any help or assistance needed at each stop.
