Monday, June 19th | 12 - 4pm, Mercerdale Park
Bring your family to Mercer Island’s Juneteenth Community Celebration hosted by Mercer Island High School’s Black Student Union (BSU) and sponsored by the City of Mercer Island.  We will have fun kids’ activities, live music, food trucks, and MIHS dance team performance.

MIHS iPad Return and Laptop Checkout

After an in-depth technology review process, our 1:1 device program at the high school will be changing to laptops this fall for the 2023-2024 school year.  Our tech team will be offering several dates through July and August for families to be able to pick up their High Schooler's laptop (and return their iPad) before the school year starts. The available dates are 7/12, 7/19, 7/24, 8/2, 8/8, and 8/16.

Please join us for a viewing of the speech that best selling author Ijeoma Oluo gave to our MIHS students during Black History Month.  Also included in the event will be a viewing of a student documentary, "Finding Community", created by our Black Student Union.  There will be a discussion led by a student panel and facilitated by Mercer Island parent and community member, Kimberly Miyazawa Frank, Global Head of DEI & Philanthropy at AppLovin.  Click here to register.

Staff Appreciation Week

Staff Appreciation Week is coming up next week, May 8th - 12th. The Staff Appreciation Team has something fun planned for each day of the week. Please see the descriptions below and learn how you can contribute. Thank you, in advance, for your participation!

Monday, May 8th: We are installing a Little Free Library in the staff lounge.

Tuesday, May 9th: Dessert Bar in the staff lounge

Wednesday, May 10th: Electronic Thank You Card from kudoboard

Thursday, May 11th: In recognition of Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) Heritage Month, we will be serving an amazing Vietnamese Luncheon.
